Main repairs end water emergency

Residents and businesses were allowed to return to normal water use yesterday after a water main rupture caused a water emergency over the weekend in Prince George's County.

County Executive Wayne K. Curry banned outdoor water use and indoor use in dishwashers and washing machines Saturday after reserves fell to crisis levels after the rupture of a major water pipeline Thursday in College Park.
