GENEVA, N.Y. -- Senior midfielder Matt Ogelsby scored his four goals in the first half as No. 7 Duke routed No. 18 Hobart, 17-7, yesterday on snowy Boswell Field.
The Blue Devils, who lost by two goals last year to Hobart, have won three in a row.
Duke (9-2) scored 11 of the first 12 goals, including four straight to open the game. The Statesmen (4-2) scored their first goal with 3:21 left in the first period but didn't score again for the next 17:45.
Senior midfielder Ross Moscatelli added two goals and three assists for the Blue Devils, who chased two Hobart goalkeepers from the game. Josh Kenney and Todd Muendel each scored twice for the Statesmen.
