Junior Karen MacCrate scored three goals and added one assist to lead top-ranked Maryland to a 9-3 victory over fourth-ranked James Madison (8-3) in women's lacrosse yesterday.
It was the 29th consecutive regular-season victory for the Terps, who have not lost in the regular season since March 23, 1993.
Kelly Amonte added two goals and one assist for the Terps (8-0).
* Goucher 10, Salisbury State 5: Freshmen Kristin Carey (Towson) scored five goals and junior Courtney Crangi added four goals and two assists as host Goucher (6-1, 2-0) defeated Salisbury State (4-4, 1-1) in a Capital Athletic Conference game.
* Old Dominion 11, UMBC 3: Jennifer Karr scored three goals to lead 10th-ranked and visiting Old Dominion (5-5) to a victory over 15th-ranked UMBC (4-3).
* Gettysburg 23, Washington College 5: Kristen Sadler scored seven goals and Colleen Dunn added four goals and two assists as Gettysburg (5-4) defeated host Washington College (0-7).
* Johns Hopkins 20, Muhlenberg 5: Jenn Ward scored five goals and added two assists to lead Johns Hopkins (7-2, 4-0) over visiting Muhlenberg (3-5, 2-3) in a Centennial Conference game.
* College of Notre Dame 18, Hollins 6: Holly Gentempo contributed five goals and three assists as College of Notre Dame (8-4) routed Hollins in the College of Notre Dame Round-Robin Tournament. The Gators face Hood College today at noon in the championship game.
* Ursinus 12, Western Maryland 10: Michelle Derderian scored four goals and Ursinus (6-2, 4-0) blanked Western Maryland (3-2, 3-2) over the final 10 minutes for a Centennial Conference victory. Denise Sarver had put Western Maryland ahead 10-8 with 10:56 to play.
