BOWIE -- Same opposition. Different locality. Vastly different weather.

It was the final dress rehearsal of the spring for the Bowie Baysox and Frederick Keys last night at Prince George's County Stadium, where the Baysox won their six-inning exhibition game, 3-0, as Matt Jarvis and Chris Lemp combined for a no-hitter.

The two Orioles farm teams are getting a little tired of seeing each other after six weeks of intrasquad games in the warm Florida sun.

"It gets old playing the same guys all the time," said Bowie starter Jarvis, who went five hitless innings and allowed only one base runner -- via a walk. Lemp finished the no-hitter for the Baysox with a perfect sixth in relief.

"We need to see some new teams," Jarvis said. "The last few days of spring training we all just wanted to get it over with and get up here. At least tonight we had a chance to get used to the colder weather."

The Double-A Baysox and Single-A Keys both open their regular seasons tonight at home. Garrett Stephenson will launch the season for Bowie against the Norwich Navigators.

"This game was just about Jarvis getting his work in," said Baysox manager Bob Miscik, who will start the left-hander in the season's fifth game at Harrisburg. "Everybody else is ready to roll."

Bowie broke a scoreless tie in the second inning on a walk to Roy Hodge, an errant pickoff throw by Keys starter Carlos Chavez that moved Hodge to second, and an RBI single by veteran Jose Millares.

In the third inning, Harry Berrios put it away with a two-run homer over the left-center field wall against Keys reliever Robert Mayse.

"I really didn't want to swing," said Berrios, who hadn't found his groove yet in Florida. "I'm like everyone else, glad to be out of Sarasota and ready for some real games. It was really getting boring."
