April 06, 1995

Three Anne Arundel County companies have received nearly $500,000 from the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation's incentive fund, corporation officials announced this week.

The corporation guaranteed a $100,000 loan from the Bank of Glen Burnie to Re/Medi Inc. to be used for start-up expenses and to buy equipment. The new, eight-employee company in Arnold has created a national computerized listing of used medical equipment available for purchase.

McDonogh Farms Inc., a landscape management business in Millersville, has received a $131,250 loan, guaranteed by the incentive fund, from NationsBank to cover the purchase of new equipment. McDonogh Farms has 16 employees and provides landscape services for commercial real estate clients and for homeowner associations.

Rams Head Tavern in the first block of West St. in Annapolis is to complete a 3,700-square-foot expansion with a $250,000 loan from the incentive fund. The bar, which has 70 employees, is to add a brew pub, 100 additional seats and a new kitchen.
