SHOOTING: Southern District -- A 13-year-old resident of the 1800 block of W. North Ave. was in the 700 block of Reedbird Ave. Monday night when a man across the street called to him. When the youth began to walk across the street, the man pulled a handgun and shot him in the left leg. The gunman escaped. The victim was treated at Harbor Hospital Center and released.

CUTTING: Southern District -- During an altercation between two women in the 800 block of Jack St. Monday, one of the women got a knife from her baby's stroller and cut the other woman on the right hand. The victim received 12 stitches at Harbor Hospital Center. Her assailant was being sought.

STOLEN TRACTOR: Northeastern District -- A 1995 GMC tractor with unknown temporary tags was stolen yesterday from H & K Equipment in the 6200 block of Pulaski Highway. The tractor was last seen northbound on Interstate 95.

THEFT/FORGERY: Northeastern District -- Someone stole three checks made out for more than $1,500 from a house in the 2000 block of E. 31st St. Monday and cashed them after forging the owner's signature.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Two antique wooden mantels and an antique wooden trunk, all valued at nearly $1,700, were stolen Monday from a garage in the 4000 block of Falls Road.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 3000 block of Oakley Ave. was in the 3200 block of Woodlawn Ave. Monday when three men, one with a handgun, robbed him of $50.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A videocassette recorder, stereo equipment, 30 compact discs, jewelry, hair clippers and cash, all valued at more than $400, were stolen Monday from a house in the 2700 block of Reisterstown Road.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Someone used a screwdriver to remove a screen door from a house in the 1200 block of Braddish Ave. Monday and stole the door, valued at nearly $100.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY: White Marsh Precinct -- A lap-top computer valued at more than $2,000 was stolen Monday from a house in the 4600 block of White Marsh Road.

ARSON: Cockeysville Precinct -- Vandals entered a house under construction in the 11500 block of Pebble Creek Drive Monday and poured a flammable liquid on the floor and set it on fire. The fire caused at least $5,000 damage to floors, walls and doors.

ROBBERY: Woodlawn Precinct -- An 11-year-old girl was walking home in the 7100 block of Fairbrook Road after attending Bible school Monday when she was knocked to the ground by two teen-age boys who robbed her of 50 cents and her shoes.

BURGLARY: Woodlawn Precinct -- Computer equipment valued at $3,000 was stolen from Featherbed Elementary School in the 6700 block of Richardson Road over the weekend.
