Investigators look into cause of Friday shed fire

Investigators from the state fire marshal's office are investigating the cause of a Friday morning shed fire in the 7200 block of Honeybush Drive, Mount Airy. No one was injured in the blaze that destroyed the 10-foot by 12-foot wooden storage shed.

Equipment from Mount Airy and Lisbon of Howard County were dispatched to the fire at 5:59 a.m. Units remained at the scene for 90 minutes to extinguish the fire, which spread to a neighbor's fence.

The damage was estimated at $2,000. Nineteen firefighters responded to the blaze, according to fire officials.
