Sophomore right-hander Mike Scarcella pitched a perfect game, retiring all 15 batters he faced and striking out 11 to lead City (3-0) past visiting Forest Park, 18-0.
The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
Walter Vaughn had a home run and a triple and Pat Mowray, Harvey Dennie and Antoine Bethea each drove in three runs for the Knights.
* McDonogh 3, Overlea 2: Jason Taylor and Guy Robertson hit back-to-back home runs in the sixth inning, lifting visiting and No. 2 McDonogh (6-0) past Overlea (2-1).
Mike Steller pitched a complete-game two-hitter for the Eagles.
* Perry Hall 11, Dundalk 0: Jason Essel pitched a two-hitter and struck out seven to lead visiting and No. 6 Perry Hall (3-0). Steve Booth, Chris Ude and Martin Kupis each had two RBIs for Perry Hall.
* Mount St. Joseph 11, Gibbons 1: Colin McGonigal struck out 11 in a complete game for the host and No. 7 Gaels (5-0). Dan Rosewag had a homer and a triple and three RBIs, and Jeff Felker had three hits, including a homer, and drove in four runs.
* Old Mill 23, Annapolis 5: Chuck Manns went 4-for-5 with two doubles and five RBIs to help No. 8 Old Mill (2-0) over visiting Annapolis. Brian Bogle had a home run, two doubles and four RBIs.
* Franklin 10, Dulaney 0: Todd Pinson and Nick Hienz each had two-run homers as No. 9 Franklin (2-0) defeated visiting Dulaney. Hienz also had an RBI single.
* Lansdowne 5, Parkville 1: Dan Ambrose hit a home run as No. 15 Lansdowne (1-2) defeated visiting Parkville. Sophomore Kevin Muller pitched a complete game for the win.
* Glen Burnie 6, Meade 5: Desmond Dailey and Brad Emge each had a homer and No. 12 Glen Burnie scored the winning run in LTC the bottom of the seventh to edge visiting Meade.
* Howard 7, Mount Hebron 4: Larry Long had a grand slam and two triples and drove in five runs to lift No. 18 Howard by visiting Mount Hebron. Cailean Leith pitched a complete game for Howard.
* Woodlawn 6, Eastern Tech 0: Greg Smith pitched a no-hitter, striking out three and walking three, to lead visiting Woodlawn (1-1) past Eastern Tech (1-1). Mark Diggs went 2-for-4 and Mikal Plummer drove in two runs.
* Centennial 11, Hammond 0: John Woods had a double and a homer for host Centennial (2-3).
