One man was killed and another critically wounded last night during what police said was a drug-related shooting inside a house in the 2600 block of Mathews St.

Pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds was Terel McFadden, of the 300 block of Whitridge Ave. He was thought to be about 30 years old.

Listed in critical condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center is Cedric Clark, also in his 30s, of no known address.

In the house, police found several spent cartridges from at least one large caliber handgun. Found lying in the kitchen and a hallway was a quantity of crack cocaine.

Police said the shooting occurred shortly after 10 p.m. but that what led to it was not immediately known.

Several men were in the house at the time but they escaped when the shots were fired.

Police also found several vials of suspected crack cocaine lying near railroad tracks near the scene of the shooting, but it was not immediately known if they were dropped by persons fleeing the house or had been there for sometime. No arrests had been made.
