DEATHS ELSEWHERE

March 28, 1995

Jesse Schuette, 14, who raised more than $60,000 for charity through her "Jesse's Perfect Peach" skin-care products as she carried on her personal battle against cancer, died of the disease Thursday in Bellingham, Wash.

Jesse, who was diagnosed with brain cancer six years ago, had undergone surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.

She, her family and friends founded the nonprofit Life's a Peach Foundation in 1993, to raise money to pay the medical bills of children whose families cannot afford health care.

She and her parents, Carol and Pat; sisters Lindsay, 12, and Kate, 8; and brother, Taylor, 6, helped package the cosmetics.
