PITTSBRUGH — PITTSBURGH -- Led by sophomore Sari Lehmuskallio, one of seven Tigers to earn All-ECAC honors, Towson State set a school and Eastern College Athletic Conference record with a 194.075 score and won its eighth ECAC championship in nine years last night.

Lehmuskallio, who won the ECAC Scholar-Athlete Award, won the ECAC beam title with a school-record-tying 9.85 score.

She also finished second in vault with a school-record-tying 9.90 and was fourth on the floor exercise with a 9.70.

The Tigers beat New Hampshire by nearly three points, as the defending champion Wildcats had a 191.225 score. James Madison (189.625) was third.

"It felt like the good old days," said coach Dick Filbert, whose Tigers won seven straight ECAC titles before losing to UNH last year. "We really rose to the occasion."
