Loyola women top James Madison

Mandy Lewis scored on an assist from Allison Valentino as sixth-ranked Loyola defeated James Madison, 10-9, in a Colonial Athletic Association women's lacrosse game yesterday.

Betsy Givens, Kerri Johnson and Lewis each scored two goals to lead the Greyhounds (4-0, 1-0). Danyle Hefferman led the Dukes (3-2, 2-1) with three goals and one assist.

The Greyhounds have won three of their four games in overtime.
