Police release names of two crash victims

Baltimore County police have released the names of a man who was killed and another who was critically injured when the car they were riding in crashed into a utility pole on McDonogh Road early yesterday morning.

Officer Gerard Orndorff, of the Western Traffic Division, identified the deceased as Terry Lee Schill, 20, of the first block of Richmar Road, Owings Mills, who was driving the 1991 Acura Integra about 1 a.m. when it went out of control on a curve near Painters Mill Road and struck the pole.

Listed in critical condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center is the passenger, Steven Sanchez, 20, of the first block of Foxrun Court, also Owings Mills.

Both men were returning to their homes after a party and were being followed by a second car occupied by friends who also attended the party when the accident occurred.

Officer Orndorff said excessive speed contributed to the crash.
