SHOOTING: Eastern District -- An unidentified man who had been shot in the neck was dumped from a van in the 2400 block of N. Collington Ave. yesterday. The man was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital and listed in critical condition. Later, police stopped the van and arrested the driver.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Police were seeking a man who robbed the Convenience Store in the 4500 block of Eastern Ave. yesterday of a cash register containing an undisclosed sum of money.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2200 block of Cambridge St. through a rear basement window yesterday and stole a cassette player.

THEFT FROM AUTO: Southeastern District -- Two coats, two bowling balls, bowling shoes and a knee brace, all valued at more than $600, were stolen yesterday from a car parked in the 200 block of S. Regester Ave.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man armed with an air-pistol robbed Queen's gift shop in the 3800 block of Liberty Heights Ave. yesterday. Before the robber fled, an employee reached over the counter and grabbed the weapon from the man.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 200 block of Edgewood St. was in the 3300 block of W. Baltimore St. yesterday when she was stopped by a man who asked her for money. When the woman told the man she had none, the man hit the woman and stole her wallet containing a small sum of money.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Towson Precinct -- A man wearing a stocking mask robbed the Tannery Salon in the 300 block of York Road of less than $100 yesterday.

ROBBERY: White Marsh Precinct -- A resident of the 6000 block of St. Regis Road was at Lynette and Marquette roads yesterday when a gunman robbed him of his property and then struck him in the face.


STOLEN CAR/ARRESTS: Fallston -- Sheriff's Deputy Frank Hellman was investigating the theft of a 1986 Dodge Daytona from Guyton Road Monday when he spotted the car on Fallston Road near Bel Air and arrested the 18-year-old driver, Michael James Layte, of the 8200 block of Del Haven Road, Baltimore County, and three teen-age passengers. Found in the car were marijuana and narcotics paraphernalia. A CB radio reported stolen earlier was found near the car after one of the occupants threw it out of a window.
