Comcast to invest $100 million

March 23, 1995

Comcast Corp. Chairman Ralph Roberts yesterday announced that the company's Maryland division will invest more than $100 million to upgrade its cable systems in Baltimore, Harford and Howard counties.

The two-year project will deploy more than 1,500 miles of fiber-optic cable to replace the counties' current coaxial cable system. It will give Comcast's 275,000 Baltimore-area subscribers better reception and make available new channels and on-line services.
