Masked man passes note, robs convenience store

An armed, masked man passed an Elkridge convenience store clerk a robbery note and fled on foot when the employee gave him cash Monday night, Howard County police said.

No one was injured in the 10:45 p.m. robbery at the High's in the 6200 block of Washington Blvd.

The gunman was described as a black male standing 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds and wearing a gray sweat suit and a bandanna over his face, police said.

Anyone with information should call Howard County police at 313-3200 or the Metro Crime Stoppers Hotline at 276-8888 to qualify for a $2,000 reward.
