March 21, 1995

A Pasadena man was arrested Friday morning in the beating of his younger brother with a clothing iron, county police said.

David Ellis Liebsch, 37, of the 300 block of Riverside Drive, refused medical treatment. Officer Gary Kazor found him bleeding from the head when he arrived at the home around 2 a.m., police said.

Officer Kazor found the victim's brother next door at their mother's house. The suspect admitted hitting his brother "repeatedly and with as much force as he could," Officer Kazor wrote in his report. Police found the dented, bloody iron in the mother's house, police said.

William Garry Liebsch, 39, who lives with his brother, was charged with assault with intent to maim, police said.
