ROBBERY/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Moments after a gunman robbed Beauty Mart in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane of more than $400 Sunday, police responding to a holdup alarm spotted a man fleeing the scene. A short distance away, a man was arrested without incident. Jay Mason, 37, of the 1500 block of Argyle Ave. was charged with armed robbery and related offenses.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A Baltimore County woman was attending a Bible study program at the Greater Grace Christian Academy in the 6000 block of Moravia Park Drive on Sunday when a teen-ager stole her pager. A suspect was arrested a short time later.

THEFT/ARREST: Northern District -- After ordering two pizzas for nearly $10 from A-1 Pizza in the 3400 block of Greenmount Ave. Sunday, a man picked up the pizzas and fled without paying. A man was arrested a short distance away.

THEFT FROM AUTO: Northern District -- A cellular phone of unknown value was stolen Sunday from a car parked in the 3400 block of Guilford Terrace.

THEFT/ARREST: Northern District -- A man was arrested Sunday after allegedly attempting to leave the Giant food store in the 700 block of W. 40th St. without paying for items valued at more than $30.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 1000 block of Cedarcroft Road was standing at a bus stop in the 500 block of E. Lake Ave. on Sunday when a man threatened to shoot her and robbed her of $7. No gun was displayed.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A refrigerator and a gas stove, all valued at more than $900, were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 3000 block of Mondawmin Ave.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 3500 block of Park Heights Ave. was walking across a parking lot near her home Sunday when a man stole her purse containing $5, credit cards and keys.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A gunman robbed a man of his wallet and $1 in the 4300 block of Hayward Ave.

THEFT FROM TRUCK: Southwestern District -- The tailgate on a Ford pickup truck was stolen over the weekend while the vehicle was parked in the 2600 block of Washington Blvd. The item was valued at $400.

Baltimore County

MOTORCYCLE STOLEN: Cockeysville Precinct -- A 1987 Honda XR100 motorcycle -- stolen in the 2300 block of E. Ruhl Road between March 5 and March 17 -- was used as a getaway vehicle in a bank robbery Friday in New Freedom, Pa. The motorcycle was found abandoned by Pennsylvania police. The vehicle's owner had not known it had been stolen.


BATTERY: White Hall -- Robert Harry Rebuck, 37, of the 4500 block of Norrisville Road was released on his own recognizance on charges of battery. His wife of six months, Karen Margaret Ubinger, 30, told deputies that her husband ran her off the road near their residence as he followed her home from work about 2:30 a.m. yesterday and beat her when they got home. She was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where she is in fair condition, a hospital spokeswoman said yesterday.
