Q: I'm interested in collecting unique and antique teapots, but have difficulty finding books or other information on the subject regarding teapot values and various brand names. Where can I find information on teapots to determine their value and collectibility?

A: Tea Talk -- A Newsletter on the Pleasures of Tea is issued quarterly for $17.95 a year, or you can order a 24-page single copy for $4.50. Write to Tea Talk, P.O. Box 860, Sausalito, Calif. 94966; or call (415) 331-1557.

Tina Carter (who writes an informative column on teapots that appears in Tea Talk) recently completed a book on today's collectible teapots. Write her c/o Tea Talk enclosing a self-addressed, stamped envelope for details on ordering the large coffee-table style book, or to inquire about the teapots you've bought and their values.

Q: 'Whom can I write regarding collectible vintage Western boots and shirts?

A: Write the Wild West Town & Museum c/o Randy Donley (who buys all and any vintage Westernwear ranging from chaps to wide-brimmed hats), 8512 S. Union Road, Union, Ill. 60180; (815) 923-2214.

Q: We have about 400 figural liquor decanters including a few Jim Beams, some Ski Country, quite a few Lionstone examples, and others shaped like western figures, birds, and animals, some of which are miniatures. We'd like to sell the whole collection. Do you know of any buyers, dealers, or whiskey decanter price guides?

A: Write to Fred Runkewich (who buys and deals in such decanters), at Fred's Bottles, P.O. Box 1423, Cheyenne, Wyo. 82003. Enclose $5 for a postpaid copy of "Fred's Price Guide To Modern Bottles," which lists such decanters along with dates issued and their current values. Or send $12 for the next four quarterly issues of Fred's Price Guide. Or call (307) 632-1462.
