Houck, Notre Dame rip Guilford, 22-9

Tinah Houck (Westminster) scored eight goals in leading the College of Notre Dame past Guilford College, 22-9, in women's lacrosse in Greensboro, N.C., yesterday. The Gators (1-1) outscored the Quakers 11-3 in the second half to break open the game.

Carly Goertz added seven goals for the College of Notre Dame. Erin McNaught and Casey Lord each scored three goals for the Quakers (0-2).

* Dickinson 16, Goucher 11: Lisa Martin had four goals to lead host Dickinson over Goucher in the season opener for both schools.

Courtney Crangi topped the Gophers with four goals. Dickinson led 9-4 at halftime.

Men

* Stockton State 16, Villa Julie 7: Bob Crezateh and Sean Tully scored three goals each to lead visiting Stockton State (2-0) over winless Villa Julie (0-2). Chris Beck had four goals to lead Villa Julie.
