2 are charged after man is punched, kicked

March 16, 1995

A Brooklyn Park man who was attacked in the 200 block of Doris Ave. Sunday morning was treated at Harbor Hospital for cuts and bruises and released, county police said.

Donald Cook, 37, was walking with two men shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday when two other men sped by in a Jeep and nearly hit them. Mr. Cook's companions cursed the Jeep's occupants, then fled when it returned, police said.

Mr. Cook told police he didn't run because he hadn't said anything. One of the men got out of Jeep, hit him with a bottle, then punched and kicked him. Mr. Cook and a witness got the Jeep's tag number and gave it to police. About a half-hour later, officers stopped a 1987 Jeep at West Meadow Road and Belle Grove Road and took its occupants to Harbor Hospital where Mr. Cook identified them, police said.

Ronald Anthony Leone, 23, of the 100 block of West Edgevale Road in Brooklyn Park and Daniel Scott Stack, 21, of the 1500 block of Grays Road in Odenton were charged with battery, police said.
