Wings end Thunder's season, 15-12

PHILADELPHIA -- Behind Gary Gait's three goals and two assists, the Philadelphia Wings topped Baltimore, 15-12, before 17,380 at the CoreStates Spectrum last night, ending the Thunder's playoff chances.

The Wings (7-1) extended their home winning streak to 14 games and finished the regular season in first place. Mark Millon had three goals and two assists and Dan Stroup added two goals and three assists for the Thunder (3-5), which has lost three straight.

The Thunder scored three goals to take an 8-7 lead in the fourth quarter, but the Wings responded with four straight to retake the lead for good at 11-8. The Wings outshot the Thunder, 54-13.

L The Thunder has lost its past nine meetings to Philadelphia.
