Expansion Committee -- Voted unanimously to add the Arizona Diamondbacks and Tampa Bay Devil Rays for the 1998 season.

Kansas City Royals -- Dismissed the following players from camp for refusing to participate in spring training games: P Steve Curry, P Dave Otto, P Dennis Rasmussen, IF Steve Hecht, IF Keith Lockhart, IF Russ McGinnis, IF Keith Miller and OF Glenn Wilson.

Minnesota Twins -- Signed OF Jerald Clark to a minor-league contract.

New York Mets -- P Dave Jensen, P Kirk Killingsworth and P Rich DeVincenzo left camp.

San Francisco Giants -- Announced all ticket prices for home games in April will be half-price even if striking major-leaguers are back with the club for those games.

Buffalo Bills -- Signed free-agent LB Bryce Paup, who had been with the Green Bay Packers.

Chicago Bears -- Signed New England Patriots WR Michael Timpson to an offer sheet worth $4.5 million over three years.

Houston Oilers -- Re-signed CB Darryll Lewis to a five-year contract.

Kansas City Chiefs -- Signed free-agent OT Jeff Criswell, who had been with the New York Jets, to a four-year contract.

Minnesota Vikings -- Signed free-agent LB Broderick Thomas, who had been with the Detroit Lions, to a three-year contract.

New York Giants -- Re-signed LB Corey Miller and LB Pete Shufelt.

Soccer

Major League Soccer -- Signed D/M Desmond Armstrong (Howard High, University of Maryland) to a multi-year contract.

National Professional Soccer League -- Suspended Jon Parry, Brad Smith and Lance Johnson of the Spirit for one game and fined each of them an undisclosed amount for their involvement in a fight during a game against Kansas City on Saturday.

Olympics

Atlanta Committee -- Designated General Motors as the exclusive domestic car and truck sponsor of the 1996 Games.
