Police find man fatally shot in house

March 10, 1995

An anonymous telephone call yesterday led police officers to a house in the 1400 block of Argyle Ave. and the discovery of a man who had been shot to death.

Pronounced dead of multiple gunshot wounds was Frederick Moore Jr., 39, of the 600 block of W. Lafayette Ave.

Police said evidence in the back yard of the vacant house indicated the man was shot there and that his body was dragged into the house, where Central District police found the man in a first-floor rear room shortly after 10 a.m. Police had made no arrest in the case and knew of no motive.
