The Doves won their third consecutive Class 4A North Region title with an 86-31 rout of Dulaney on Thursday and a 75-46 victory over Lake Clifton on Saturday. Chanel Wright scored a combined 45 points for defending Class 4A state champion Western, which has won an area-best 31 straight. 2 Hammond (21-3) -- Last week's ranking: 2. The Golden Bears advanced to the Class 2A state semifinals for the fourth straight year after defeating Fairmont Heights, 69-51, Thursday and Chopticon, 64-34, Saturday. Next game: Friday vs. Parkside in a Class 2A state semifinal at UMBC.

3 Arundel (24-0) -- Last week's ranking: 6. The Wildcats earned their first berth in the state semifinals by defeating Northern-Calvert, 66-31, Thursday and Severna Park, 51-50, Saturday, to win the Class 4A East Region title. Next game: Thursday vs. Montgomery Blair in a Class 4A state semifinal at UMBC.

4 Fallston (21-1) -- Last week's ranking: 4. The Cougars advanced to the state semifinals for the fourth consecutive year after defeating Catonsville, 62-55, Thursday and Towson, 67-49, Saturday. Next game: Friday vs. South Hagerstown in a Class 2A state semifinal at UMBC.

5 Lake Clifton (17-3) -- Last week's ranking: 3. The Lakers used a 31-point fourth quarter to pull away from Perry Hall, 74-42, in a Class 4A North Region semifinal on Thursday. In Saturday's region final, Lake Clifton lost to Western, 75-46. Next game: Season over.

6 South Carroll (22-2) -- Last week's ranking: 5. Thursday, Nicole Spencer scored 28 to lead the Cavaliers to a 56-40 victory over Paint Branch in a Class 3A West Region semifinal. In Saturday's region final, South Carroll's 22-game winning streak ended with a 60-41 loss to Walt Whitman. Next game: Season over.

10 Mount Hebron (18-7) -- Last week's ranking: 11. The Vikings returned to the state semifinals for the first time since 1991 after defeating Carver, 74-43, Tuesday; Broadneck, 38-35, Thursday; and Howard, 59-47, Saturday to win the Class 3A East Region title. 13 Howard (16-9) -- Last week's ranking: 13. The defending Class 3A state champion Lions defeated City, 40-28, in a Class 3A East Region first-round game on Tuesday and beat Poly, 66-57, in the semifinals on Thursday. Wright defeated Lansdowne, 60-35, in a Class 3A North Region first-round game on Tuesday; upset Randallstown, 54-47, in the semifinals, Thursday; and beat Bel Air, 45-29, in Saturday's region final.
