A Pasadena woman was arrested Sunday evening on charges of trying to steal $128 worth of over-the-counter drugs from a Brooklyn Park 7-Eleven, county police said.

The woman entered the store in the 5600 block of Ritchie Highway shortly before 7:30 p.m. and put several boxes of Tylenol, Motrin, Advil and Alka-Seltzer in a blue bag, police said. Store employees called police after the woman tried to leave the store without paying for the merchandise, officials said.

Cpl. Michael Belcher saw the woman near the intersection of Ritchie Highway and 11th Avenue. She dropped the bag and ran but was caught a short distance away, police said. She gave a false name and date of birth before giving her real name and date of birth, police said.

Denise Hill, 30, of the 8100 block of Hogneck Road was charged with misdemeanor theft and making a false statement, police said.
