Fire company installs 1995 officers

Union Bridge Volunteer Fire Company recently had its 14th annual banquet and dance and elected officers for 1995 were installed.

Administrative officers are: president, E. Ray Wilson Jr.; vice president, Thomas Garber; secretary, Darlene Harris; treasurer, Cheryl Keeney, and assistant, Anthony McAuliffe; recording secretary, Barbara Warehime; chaplain, the Rev. Richard Michael.

Executive board members are: Jo Ann Boone, Dan Cartzendafner, David Nelson and Jeffrey Six. Trustees are: Robert Boone, Brenda Burdette, Jim Sinnott, David Warehime and Edgar Wentz.

The executive committee includes Douglas Bostian and Jerry Harris.

Line officers are: chief, Bob Bloom; assistant chief, Jim Harris; captain, Chris Harris; first lieutenant, Chad Green; second lieutenant, Dan Zile.

Rescue officers are: captain, Mike Cartwright; first lieutenant, David Buffington; second lieutenant, Fred Green. Foremen are: Engine 82, Jay Anderson; Engine 81, Dave Nelson; Squad 8, Mike Green; Brush 85, Ron Testa.

Emergency medical services officers are: ambulance captain, George Wentz; first lieutenant, Eddy Arnold; second lieutenant, Keith Phillips; foreman Medic 89, Chad Garber.

Junior fire company officers are: president, Dan Harkins; vice president, Eric Wilder; secretary, Doug Wilder; treasurer, Kenny Bowen; chaplain, Eric Wetzel; directors, Christopher Harris.

Ladies auxiliary officers are: president, Yvonne Stultz; vice president, Jane Davis; corresponding secretary, Missi Moser; financial secretary, Karen Miller; treasurer, Isabelle Graham; historian, Sue Bowen. Trustees are: Ruth Keefer, Kathleen Curfman, Naomi Sinnott, Carol Musil and Betty Nelson.

The top five fire responders for 1994 are: Bob Boone, 287; Dan Zile, 245; Chad Green, 234; Dave Buffington, 191; Bob Bloom, 185. The top five ambulance responders are: George Wentz, FTC 147; Dan Zile, 107; Fred Green, 105; Chris Harris, 85; Ed Arnold, 78.

Bud Bair received a service award pin for 50 years in the company. Richard L. Boone and Jerry Harris each received 35-year service pins.

* Union Bridge: Union Bridge responded to assist Frederick County at an apartment fire in the 11900 block of Main St. at 9:07 a.m. Thursday. Units were out for 21 minutes.
