Real estate firm wins beautification award
The Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce recently awarded presented its 1994 Annual Beautification Award to O'Conor, Piper & Flynn in Severna Park for its efforts in property maintenance, seasonal decoration and pride in appearance.
George T. Moran, Insurance; Prudential Preferred Properties; the Wild Bird Center; and the Severna Park Veterinary Hospital received honorary mentions.
Business mixer set for March 15
The Anne Arundel Trade Council and the Providence Center Inc. are sponsoring a business mixer from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. March 15 at the Providence Center, 80 West Street in Annapolis.
Tickets are $8.50 in advance, $11 at the door and $20 for nonmembers.

Local law firm changes its name
The law firm Corbin, Schaffer, Wilsman and Aviles has changed its name from Corbin, Warfield, Schaffer and Meredith to reflect the departure of two prior owners.
The firm has had offices in Severna Park and Odenton for 22 years.
Clothing boutique chain opens Annapolis store
The White House, a Linthicum-based chain of boutiques specializing in all-white clothing and accessories, has opened a new store on Main Street in Annapolis.
The company runs 33 stores in ten states , and has 220 employees.
Dentist moves office to Arnold Center
Jeffrey P. Cranska, D.D.S., has moved his family dental practice to a renovated office in Arnold.
The new office is in the Arnold Center on Ritchie Highway.
