Burglar takes the gun after breaking in

March 02, 1995

Someone forced the door of a Crownsville home Monday and stole a 9 mm semiautomatic handgun, county police said yesterday.

Debbie Cromer, 30, who lives in the house in the 1300 block of Farfield Loop, told police she discovered the burglary about 5:30 p.m. when she returned home and found that the front door she had left locked had been forced open, police said.

The thief also moved furniture and pulled out bedroom drawers. The gun was taken from the bedroom. Ms. Cromer said she could not give police the make, model and value of the weapon because it belonged to her husband, who was out of town, police said.
