* North Laurel: 9200 block of Homestretch Court: A resident alerted by noises outside saw a car thief steal a brown 1992 Honda Accord with Maryland tags ZPL164 about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

* Jessup: 8300 block of U.S. 1: Two storage sheds were pried open at the Superior Lawn Service Sunday or Monday, but police said nothing was taken.
