March 01, 1995

A man accused of exposing himself outside an Ellicott City middle school tried to fight two police officers who arrested him yesterday morning, Howard County police said.

Tim McGill, 31, of the 8900 block of Old Frederick Road, Ellicott City, was charged with indecent exposure, resisting arrest and trespassing. Mr. McGill was being held on $2,500 bond yesterday.

A Howard County District Court Commissioner also ordered him held on $10,000 additional bond for outstanding warrants charging him with a drug violation and for violating probation for a previous drunken driving arrest.

According to police, a teacher at Patapsco Middle School in the 8800 block of Old Frederick Road saw a man near the school's field and a parking lot at 7:55 a.m. yesterday, just as children arrived. The man's pants were pulled down and he wore no shirt, police said.

The school's principal called police, but the man fled, police said.

Officers drove to the area and saw the suspect near his home. When they questioned him, he fought with them and they sprayed him with pepper Mace, police said.
