Annapolis man charged in robbery

A 25-year-old Annapolis man has been arrested and charged with robbing the Record and Tape Exchange on Bay Ridge Road in December, Annapolis police reported.

Louis Dwayne Edwards, of the 1800 block of Lincoln Drive, was arrested this week by Annapolis detectives who charged him with armed robbery. Mr. Edwards is being held on $15,000 bail at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.

Two men robbed the record store of an undetermined amount of money about 5:30 p.m. Dec. 22. According to police, one of the suspects looked around the store while the second suspect stood outside.

When other customers in the store left, one of the suspects pulled a handgun and threatened the store clerk and demanded cash. The clerk handed over the money, and the suspects fled.

The other suspect has not been arrested.
