Chet Holifield, 91, who served in Congress for 32 years until his retirement in 1974, died of pneumonia Sunday in Redlands, Calif.

Robert McCorkle Netting, 60, an anthropologist and authority on cultural ecology and intensive agriculture systems, died Saturday of a cancer-related illness in Tucson, Ariz. He was a professor of anthropology at the University of Arizona.

David L. Norman, 70, a chief of the Justice Department's civil rights division in the Nixon administration and a retired Superior Court judge in Washington, D.C., died of pneumonia Monday in

Washington.
