1 Western (14-0) -- Last week's ranking: 1. The Doves, ranked 10th nationally by USA Today, extended the area's longest winning streak to 21 with two victories. Tuesday, Danielle Davis scored 17 in a 90-18 rout of Southern-B. Friday, Western opened the game on a 16-1 run en route to a 62-37 win over Lake Clifton. Next game: Tomorrow at Edmondson.

2 Hammond (11-2) -- Last week's ranking: 2. Tameka Harrison scored 20 and Kellye Townsend added 18 points as the Golden Bears defeated Wilde Lake, 62-45, Friday. Hammond outscored the Wildecats, 42-28, in the second half. Next game: Tomorrow at Glenelg.

3 Lake Clifton (10-2) -- Last week's ranking: 3. DeShawn Coleman scored 20 to lead the Lakers to a 73-50 victory over Edmondson on Tuesday. Friday, Lake Clifton lost to Western, 62-37. Next game: Tomorrow at Walbrook.

4 Fallston (12-1) -- Last week's ranking: 4. Tuesday, the Cougars defeated North Harford, 52-26. Friday, Lori Heffley scored 16 in a 61-43 victory over Bel Air. Next game: Thursday vs. Edgewood.

5 Severna Park (13-1) -- Last week's ranking: 6. Angela DeSalvo scored 16 to lead the Falcons to a 58-32 victory over Glen Burnie on Friday. Next game: Today at Northeast.

6 St. Frances (12-6) -- Last week's ranking: 7. The Panthers were idle last week. Next game: Tomorrow at No. 9 Seton Keough.

7 South Carroll (15-1) -- Last week's ranking: 8. Nicole Spencer scored a combined 41 points as the Cavaliers won two games to extend their winning streak to 15. South Carroll routed North Carroll, 66-32, Wednesday, and beat Linganore, 69-52, Friday. Next game: Tomorrow at Thomas Johnson.

8 Arundel (14-0) -- Last week's ranking: 10. The Wildcats remained unbeaten after edging Old Mill, 47-45 in overtime, Friday. Chavonne Hammond and Jen Mottar each scored 15. Next game: Today vs. Glen Burnie.

9 Seton Keough (16-1) -- Last week's ranking: 9. The Gators escaped with a 45-43 victory over the Institute of Notre Dame, Monday, before defeating Park, 60- 43, Tuesday and Archbishop Spalding, 50-32, Friday. Next game: Tomorrow vs. No. 6 St. Frances.

10 Old Mill (11-3) -- Last week's ranking: 5. The Patriots let a 10-point first-half lead evaporate en route to a 47-45 loss to Arundel on Friday. Kerri Eland scored 12 to pace Old Mill. Next game: Today vs. North County.

11 St. Mary's (12-6) -- Last week's ranking: 11. The Saints outscored John Carroll, 49-14, in the second and third quarters on the way to a 65-37 rout of John Carroll on Friday. Annetta Davis and Tara Foran each scored 18 to lead St. Mary's. Next game: Tomorrow at No. 19 Mount de Sales.

12 Towson (12-0) -- Last week's ranking: 12. Katie Walker scored a combined 39 points as the Generals defeated Overlea, 70-12, Wednesday, and Catonsville, 55-43, Friday. Next game: Tomorrow at No. 18 Loch Raven.

13 Wilde Lake (9-3) -- Last week's ranking: 13. The Wildecats lost to Hammond, 62-45, Friday. Despite the loss, Wilde Lake remained in second place in the Howard County League with a 4-2 record. Next game: Tomorrow at Centennial.

14 Mount Hebron (9-5) -- Last week's ranking: 15. The Vikings ended a two-game losing streak by routing Oakland Mills, 55-18, Friday. Next game: Tomorrow vs. Atholton.

15 Westminster (12-3) -- Last week's ranking: 14. The Owls outscored Thomas Johnson, 20-13, in the fourth quarter, to claim a 63-57 victory on Wednesday. Friday, Westminster dropped a 45-44 overtime decision to Montgomery Blair, a team the Owls had beaten by nine points earlier this season. Next game: Today at Frederick.

16 Institute of Notre Dame (9-7) -- Last week's ranking: 16. The Indians were edged by Seton Keough, 45-43, Monday. Friday, 11 players scored in IND's 46-34 victory over Mercy. The Indians have won seven of 10 since a 2-4 start. Next game: Tomorrow at Archbishop Spalding.

17 Howard (8-6) -- Last week's ranking: 17. The Lions defeated Atholton, 54-43, Friday. Megan Boehm scored 16 and Mona Jackson added 14 points. Next game: Tomorrow vs. Oakland Mills.

18 Loch Raven (12-2) -- Last week's ranking: 18. Wednesday, Robyn Harry scored 14 in the Raiders' 50-44 victory over Hereford. Friday, Kelley Powell scored 13 and Harry added 10 points in a 65-10 rout of Overlea. Next game: Tomorrow vs. No. 12 Towson.

19 Mount de Sales (10-6) -- Last week's ranking: 19. Amy Buck scored 20 as the Sailors ended a three-game losing streak by defeating Archbishop Spalding, 57-41, Wednesday. Next game: Tomorrow vs. No. 11 St. Mary's.

20 Broadneck (10-4) -- Last week's ranking: 20. The Bruins routed North County, 61-33, Friday. Next game: Today vs. Meade.
