Superior Realty of Del. merges with O'Conor

Superior Realty, a residential real estate company serving Bethany Beach, Del., has merged with O'Conor, Piper & Flynn.

Peter DeMarie II, president of 15-year-old Superior Realty, will be broker of record for the new O'Conor, Piper & Flynn office at U.S. 1 and Bayberry Street. His four salespeople will remain with the ++ office.

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn, headquartered in Timonium, recently expanded to the Delaware coast, said C. Terry Hough, managing partner of O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Coastal. In 1994, the company merged with Vernon Real Estate and Doug Davis Realty, both in Rehoboth.

Lace Title Rating shows few changes

Lace Title Rating Corp.'s ratings of all but the smallest title insurance companies are unchanged, the company announced last week.

Title companies with total assets exceeding $100 million retained an average "A" rating; companies with assets of $25 to $100 million retained a "B+" average rating; and companies with assets of $25 million or less declined from an average rating of "B+" to a "B."

Lace Title Rating, an affiliate of Lace Financial Corp. of Frederick, rates the claims-paying ability of state-licensed title insurance companies.

The Anne Arundel County Association of Realtors named Jackie Allen of the Prudential Preferred Properties office in Annapolis 1994 Realtor of the Year. Ms. Allen, who had been president of the association, received the 1990 Distinguished Sales Associate Award from the Maryland Association of Realtors.
