Late free throws give Edmondson first win over Walbrook in 17 years

Michelle Inman made two free throws with 2.1 seconds yesterday left to lift host Edmondson to its first victory over Walbrook in 17 years, a 62-60 decision.

The Redskins (6-5), who had missed 14 of their first 24 free throws, scored 24 of the game's final 38 points. Inman had 17 points and 12 rebounds for Edmondson.

Emily Jones added 23 points and 22 rebounds for the Redskins. Jamee Greenwood scored 18 for the Warriors (6-7).

* Severna Park 58, Glen Burnie 32: Angela DeSalvo scored 16 points to lead No. 7 Severna Park (14-1) over host Glen Burnie (3-10).

* Seton Keough 50, Spalding 32: Meghann Donovan scored 16 to lead No. 9 Seton Keough (16-1) over host Archbishop Spalding (5-12) in a Catholic League contest. The Gators outscored Spalding, 12-2, in the third quarter to build a 37-23 lead.

* St.Mary's 65, John Carroll 37: Annetta Davis scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead No. 12 St. Mary's (12-6) over visiting John Carroll (7-9). Tara Foran also had 18 points in helping the Saints.

* IND 46, Mercy 34: Shannon Skopp and Candice Morrison each scored seven to lead a balanced offense as No. 16 IND (9-7, 6-3) defeated host Mercy in a Catholic League game.

* Howard 54, Atholton 43: Mona Jackson scored 14 points as No. 17 Howard (8-6) defeated visiting Atholton.

* Loch Raven 65, Overlea 10: Kelley Powell scored 13 to lead No. 18 Loch Raven (12-2) over visiting Overlea.

* Northeast 64, Chesapeake-AA 57: Jen Johansen scored 18 of her 31 points in the second half and made five three-pointers to lift visiting Northeast (8-5) over Chesapeake-AA (5-8).

* Annapolis 53, Southern-AA 31: Kammie Cottrell scored 13 and Artina Trader added 11 as host Annapolis (6-8) defeated Southern-AA (3-10).

* Meade 58, South River 35: Tamara Washington scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead host Meade (5-9) over South River (3-11).

* Glenelg 50, Centennial 35: Lauren Brown had 14 points and six rebounds as Glenelg (10-4) defeated host Centennial (7-7). Carrie Brown added 12 points and seven rebounds.

* C.M. Wright 59, Elton 27: Erin Updegrove had 25 points, eight rebounds and three steals to pace host C.M. Wright (10-5) past Elkton. Jeana Brentlinger and Colleen Rouse led Elton with six points apiece.

* Randallstown 75, Kenwood 28: LaTonya Chambers scored 25 points and Katrina Johns added 23 to help Randallstown (13-2) beat host Kenwood (1-11).

* Franklin 48, Lansdowne 38: Sharee Lewis scored 13 and Ivy Hailey added 10 as Franklin (11-1) defeated visiting Lansdowne (6-5).

* Dundalk 32, Eastern Tech 19: Marshel Pollock contributed 13 points and 20 rebounds to help Dundalk (4-10) defeat visiting Eastern Tech (1-13).

* Chesapeake-BC 58, Pikesville 39: Tonya Kelley scored 27 points as Chesapeake-BC topped host Pikesville.

* St. Paul's 52, Garrison Forest 42: Tehma Smith scored 20 points to move St. Paul's (8-5) to a victory over visiting Garrison Forest (5-5).

* Mount Carmel 61, Pompei 4: Erin Reed and Larissa Paulino each scored 12 as Mount Carmel defeated host Pompei.

* Poly 65, Northwestern 50: Kelly Logan scored 16 of her 18 points in the the second half as visiting Poly (11-3) beat Northwestern (8-2). Freshman Nicole Eades led Northwestern with 13.

* Patterson 63, Southern-B 20: Anita Hyman scored a season-high 21 points and added 10 assists to lead host Patterson (5-10) over winless Southern (0-10).

* Forest Park 49, Douglass 31: Christina Savage produced 22 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists and two steals to move host Forest Park (5-6) past Douglass. Antionette Doughty led Forest Park with 16.

* Harford Christian 45, York Country Day 43: Jettie Moir scored 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Harford Christian (10-4) over visiting York Country Day.
