Fordham women top Navy

Emair Howard scored 17 points to lead Fordham to a 66-47 win over Navy in a Patriot League women's basketball game last night in New York.

Denise Hammersley added 16 points for Fordham (11-7, 5-1).

Adi Schneck led Navy (7-10, 3-3) with 14 points and six assists.

* Marymount 97, St. Mary's 67: Shannon Carliu scored 31 points as Marymount (11-4, 6-1) defeated visiting St. Mary's (2-6, 0-4) in a Capital Athletic Conference game.

Stephanie Karpinski led St. Mary's with 14 points.

* Baltimore City CC 103, Essex CC 45: Sheronda Palmer (Walbrook) scored 32 points, leading Baltimore City past host Essex. Tina Lotz led Essex with 23 points.

* Frederick CC 87, Prince George's CC 84: Theresa Arnett scored 25 points as visiting Frederick CC defeated Prince George's CC.

Nicole Mamula had a school-record 14 assists for the Pioneers (16-1).

Men

* Haverford 77, Washington College 73: Chris Guiton scored 29 points to lead host Haverford past Washington College.

Adam Poe and Ben Harris each contributed 23 points to lead the Shoremen.

* Baltimore City CC 79, Essex CC 74: Warren Wright (Mervo) scored a game-high 25 points to lead Baltimore City (12-4) past host Essex (14-6). Chris Gephardt led Essex with 23 points.

* Anne Arundel CC 97, Prince George's CC 91: Aderio Jones (Annapolis) scored 31 points and Steve Kraning (Loyola) added 23 to lead visiting Anne Arundel CC (7-11) over Prince George's CC.
