Bowie rallies past Eliz. City, 56-55

Warren Wright (Northwestern) scored 23 points to lead host Bowie State past Elizabeth City State, 56-55, in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic men's basketball game last night.

Marquis Melton added 16 for the Bulldogs (5-12, 1-3), who rallied from a 30-25 halftime deficit.

Ron Nowlin led Elizabeth City State (4-13, 0-5) with 20 points.

* Mary Washington 107, Salisbury State 92: Marvin Felix scored 26 points, leading host Mary Washington (4-9, 3-3) past Salisbury State (8-9, 4-5) in a Capital Athletic Conference game. Kyle Jefferson (Hammond) led Salisbury State with 29.

Women

* Bowie State 67, Elizabeth City State 52: Brandey Lemons scored 17 points to lead host Bowie State over Elizabeth City State in a CIAA game.

Yetisha Mackey added 16 points for the Bulldogs (12-4, 4-0).

* Johns Hopkins 86, Western Maryland 68: Karen Hoffman scored 26 points and Julie Anderson added 18, lifting Johns Hopkins (12-4, 6-1) past Western Maryland (10-3, 6-1) in a Centennial Conference game.
