1 Western (12-0) -- Last week's ranking: 1. Danielle Davis scored 16 points in the Doves' 64-35 victory over Walbrook on Friday and 16 again in a 77-17 rout of Southwestern on Friday. Western has won an area-best 19 straight. Next game: Today vs. Southern-B.

2 Hammond (10-2) -- Last week's ranking: 2. The Golden Bears remained unbeaten in Howard County with two victories. Tuesday, Hammond outscored Mount Hebron, 22-8, in the second quarter en route to a 60-55 win. Thursday, Rene Hines scored 19 as the Golden Bears routed Oakland Mills, 64-22. Next game: Friday vs. No. 13 Wilde Lake.

3 Lake Clifton (9-1) -- Last week's ranking: 3. Natisha Ferguson scored a combined 39 points as the Lakers defeated Patterson, 64-29, Wednesday, and Mervo, 71-32, Friday. The Lakers began the game against Mervo with a 23-2 run. Next game: Today at Edmondson.

4 Fallston (10-1) -- Last week's ranking: 5. The Cougars outscored Joppatowne, 38-18, in the second and third quarters en route to a 69-54 win on Friday. Lori Heffley scored 19, Candy Credito had 15 and Jenny Weber added 14. Next game: Today at North Harford.

5 Old Mill (11-2) -- Last week's ranking: 6. The Patriots defeated Chesapeake-AA, 50-36, Tuesday, and South River, 64-13, Thursday. Old Mill outscored South River, 27-0, after one quarter and extended its lead to 44-2 at halftime. Next game: Friday vs. No. 10 Arundel.

6 Severna Park (12-1) -- Last week's ranking: 7. Angela DeSalvo scored a combined 44 points as the Falcons rallied from a nine-point deficit after one quarter to beat Annapolis, 61-55, Tuesday, and routed Chesapeake-AA, 76-33, Friday. Next game: Friday at Glen Burnie.

7 St. Frances (12-6) -- Last week's ranking: 4. The Panthers were upset by St. Mary's, 62-53, Friday. It was St. Frances' first loss in the Catholic League. Next game: Sunday vs. Stone Ridge at the University of Baltimore.

8 South Carroll (13-1) -- Last week's ranking: 8. Nicole Spencer scored 33 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and had four steals to lead the Cavaliers to a 62-42 victory over Westminster on Tuesday. Friday, Spencer scored 22 in a 64-25 rout of Liberty. Next game: Tomorrow vs. North Carroll.

10 Arundel (13-0) -- Last week's ranking: 10. The Wildcats built a 38-7 halftime lead on the way to a 81-16 rout of Meade on Tuesday. Friday, Chavonne Hammond scored 17 in a 50-35 win over Annapolis. Next game: Friday at No. 5 Old Mill.

11 St. Mary's (11-6) -- Last week's ranking: 12. The Saints rolled to a 62-36 victory over Mercy on Wednesday. Friday, St. Mary's avenged an early-season loss to St. Frances by defeating the Panthers, 62-53. The Saints began the second quarter against ++ St. Frances with 18 consecutive points to open up a 19-point lead. Next game: Friday vs. John Carroll.

12 Towson (10-0) -- Last week's ranking: 11. Katie Walker scored a combined 36 points as the Generals defeated Carver, 64-15, Wednesday, and Hereford, 68-28, Friday. Next game: Tomorrow at Overlea.

13 Wilde Lake (9-2) -- Last week's ranking: 16. The Wildcats defeated Oakland Mills, 51-26, Tuesday, and Mount Hebron, 57-48, Thursday. Next game: Friday at No. 2 Hammond.

14 Westminster (11-2) -- Last week's ranking: 13. The Owls lost to South Carroll, 62-42, Tuesday, before routing North Carroll, 64-28, Friday. Beth Lister scored 19 against North Carroll. Next game: Tomorrow vs. Thomas Johnson.

15 Mount Hebron (8-5) -- Last week's ranking: 14. The Vikings lost to Hammond, 60-55, Tuesday, and Wilde Lake, 57-48, Thursday. Next game: Friday at Oakland Mills.

16 Institute of Notre Dame (8-6) -- Last week's ranking: 17. Shannon Skopp scored 22 and Robin Johnson added 20 in the Indians' 57-45 victory over John Carroll on Friday. The win avenged a 32-point loss to the Patriots earlier this season. Next game: Friday at Mercy.

17 Howard (7-6) -- Last week's ranking: 15. The Lions were upset by Centennial, 60-48, Tuesday. Thursday, Howard bounced back defeating Glenelg, 57-38. Next game: Friday vs. Atholton.

18 Loch Raven (10-2) -- Last week's ranking: 19. The Raiders took sole possession of second place in the Baltimore County 1A-2A League after defeating Catonsville, 54-44, Wednesday, and Milford Mill, 45-32, Friday. Next game: Tomorrow at Hereford.

19 Mount de Sales (9-6) -- Last week's ranking: 18. The Sailors' losing streak reached three after dropping a 62-47 decision to St. John's Prospect Hall of Frederick on Tuesday. Next game: Tomorrow at Archbishop Spalding.

20 Broadneck (9-4) -- Last week's ranking: 20. The Bruins beat Northeast, 48-34, Tuesday, and Southern-AA, 39-34, Friday. Next game: Friday at North County.
