POLICE

* Taneytown: A resident of the 5900 block of Taneytown Pike reported to state police someone entered his house through an unlocked door and stole three rifles between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Friday. He estimated the loss at $1,000.

FIRE

Keymar: Union Bridge, Taneytown, New Windsor, Winfield, Harney and Rocky Ridge, Walkersville and Libertytown from Frederick County were dispatched to a three-alarm fire in the 800 block of Francis Scott Key Highway at 9:28 p.m. Sunday. Units were out for seven hours.

New Windsor: New Windsor responded to a call of wires on fire on Marston Road at 2:50 a.m. Sunday. Units were out for 25 minutes.

* Union Bridge: Union Bridge responded to a report of a utility pole and wires down on Middleburg Road at Crouse Mill Road at 1:25 a.m. Sunday. Units were out for one hour.
