January 24, 1995

A North Laurel man was beaten and robbed by a man and woman at his home Saturday night, Howard County police said.

Lawrence Huffer was not seriously injured in the attack at 8 p.m. in the 9200 block of Bridle Path Lane, police said.

Mr. Huffer told police that his ex-girlfriend and a man came to his house, began arguing and then assaulted him. Before they left, the two took cash from the victim, police said.

Gloria McMillan, 32, and Ronald Arrington, 38, both of Laurel, were stopped by police after the incident and arrested. Police said they recovered cash and drugs from the suspects.

A county District Court commissioner released Mr. Arrington on personal recognizance, but Ms. McMillan was being held at the Howard County Detention Center on $10,000 bond yesterday.
