January 24, 1995

A Columbia man was beaten, stabbed with a fork and robbed after a dispute at his girlfriend's house late Sunday morning, Howard County police said.

Mark Golston suffered minor injuries to his leg and head. He was treated at Howard County General Hospital shortly after the attack and released, police said.

About 11:45 a.m. Sunday, Mr. Golston visited his girlfriend's home in the 10200 block of Nightmist Court in Columbia's Wilde Lake village. The two argued, and Mr. Golston then was kicked, punched and stabbed with a fork, police said.

Cash was taken from Mr. Golston's pocket after he was injured, officers said.

Police charged his girlfriend and two men, all of Columbia, with Mr. Golston's assault and robbery. Cynthia Hopewell, 26; Kevin Dale Coleman, 34; and Steve Jarrott, 39, were released on unsecured $3,000 bonds, officials said.

Officers arrested Mr. Coleman and Mr. Jarrott in a vehicle blocks away, and Ms. Hopewell was arrested at her home, police said.
