BALTIMORE CITY

* AUTO THEFT: Northeastern District -- A black 1988 Pontiac Formula Firebird with vanity license tags NASSTY was reported stolen early yesterday from the 3400 block of Brendan Ave.

* AUTO THEFT: Northeastern District -- A gray, four-door Oldsmobile with tags ZRG 217 was reported stolen at 7 a.m. yesterday from the 1000 block of Hewitt Way. Police found the car later in the morning in the 5300 block of Selfridge Ave., with a damaged ignition.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone broke into a home in the 4000 block of Belle Ave. through a back door between 11:45 a.m. and 8:25 p.m. Saturday, and stole a TV.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A VCR was stolen by an intruder who broke down a rear door to enter a home in the 2600 block of Queen Anne Road between 8 a.m. and 7:40 p.m. Saturday.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone broke into Brown's Bakery in the 5300 block of Park Heights Ave. through the front door shortly after midnight yesterday and stole a telephone.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* STABBINGS: Parkville Precinct -- A 54-year-old woman and her daughter, 38, were treated for minor stab wounds Saturday night after they were attacked by a man who lived with them in the 8600 block of Fowler Ave. Police said the man stabbed himself and ran into the Baltimore Beltway, where he was struck by a car. Charges including attempted murder were lodged against Thomas Smith, 34, who was listed in serious condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

* BANK ROBBERY: North Point Precinct -- A man with a small handgun robbed the American National Bank at Eastpoint Mall about 10 a.m. Saturday. Police said the gunman, who fled to the rear of the nearby Ames department store, was described as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds, wearing sunglasses, a white FILA cap, a dark jacket, dark pants and dark shoes. He had a towel around his neck.

* THEFT: Towson Precinct -- A thief stole a purse from a 72-year-old woman Saturday afternoon in the 6300 block of York Road and fled in a car driven by an accomplice.

* THEFT: Towson Precinct -- Two men approached a 33-year-old woman early Saturday in the 8700 block of Loch Raven Blvd. and snatched her purse.

* AUTO THEFT: Garrison Precinct -- A white four-door 1993 Honda Accord with Maryland tags ACA 893 was stolen from the first block of Panacea Court Saturday morning.

* AUTO THEFT: Garrison Precinct -- A white four-door 1986 Acura Legend with Florida tags I10-17V was stolen Saturday evening from a shopping center parking lot in the 8700 block of Liberty Road.
