Outlook: Loyola (1-1 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Association) and Fairfield (2-2) both look to move above .500 in the conference, and each rely heavily on their forwards. B. J. Pendleton leads the Greyhounds in scoring (14.6) and rebounding (6.2). Stags sophomore Shannon Bowman, a 6-foot-4, 245-pound forward, averages a team-leading 15.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Loyola split its first two MAAC games on a recent road trip, beating Niagara (79-73) and losing to Canisius (79-65). Greyhounds freshman PG John McDonald was named the conference's Rookie of the Week after producing 13.3 points and 3.7 assists over his past

three games.
