SHOOTING/ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 3400 block of Dupont Ave. was in the 5100 block of Chalgrove Ave. Wednesday when he was approached by two men, one with a 9-mm semiautomatic handgun. The gunman shot him in the upper leg and the pair robbed him of a gold necklace valued at $300. The victim was taken to Sinai Hospital for treatment.

SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who shot a resident of the 4000 block of Edgewood Road in the left side of the jaw Wednesday during an incident in the 3900 block of Ayrdale Ave. The victim was taken to Sinai Hospital.

ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- A woman was walking near her home in the 4900 block of Denmore Ave. Wednesday night when one of two men in a passing 1992 Ford Escort yelled at her, then shot at her but missed.

STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A two-door 1988 Cadillac Seville with tags 600 ATE was stolen Wednesday from the 3900 block of Reisterstown Road.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A light green 1984 Nissan Maxima with tags NYL 943 was stolen Wednesday from the 900 block of W. University Parkway.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two gunmen robbed the Lord Baltimore Cleaners in the 5600 block of The Alameda of $40 Wednesday. They also robbed a female employee of a gold wedding band set valued at $800.

THEFT/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a 43-year-old man who attempted to leave Eddie's food market in the 5100 block of Roland Ave. Wednesday without paying for a bottle of vodka and two cans of anchovies.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A TV set, VCR and compact disc player, all valued at nearly $600, were stolen Wednesday from a home in the 1900 block of Woodbourne Ave.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- An unknown quantity of cigarettes was stolen from the D & L Texaco station in the 5900 block of Belair Road sometime between Jan. 1 and Jan. 18.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: North Point Precinct -- A 14-year-old boy was walking in the rear of the 3000 block of North Point Road Wednesday when two older youths, one with a handgun, robbed him of a beeper valued at $69.

BURGLARY: Garrison Precinct -- A microwave oven, TV set, cordless telephone and other items, all valued at nearly $2,400, were stolen Wednesday from a home in the first block of Misty Meadow Court.

ROBBERY: Wilkens Precinct -- While his accomplice waited outside in a cream-colored Chevrolet Camaro, a gunman robbed Pizz-a-Boli's in the 6400 block of Baltimore National Pike of more than $100 and a coin-operated gumball machine.

HARFORD COUNTY

BURGLARY: Edgewood -- A VCR and TV set, all valued at were stolen Wednesday from a home in the 800 block of Fisherman's Lane.
