When Amicci's decided to add a few seats, the Little Italy restaurant had no place to expand on its immediate site. So look for Amicci's of Canton to open March 1 on O'Donnell Street, where the Canton Cafe used to be. The menus of the two casual eateries will be the same, featuring dishes like seafood pasta and chicken saltimbocca. Like its sibling, Amicci's of Canton will be open seven days a week, and no reservations will be taken.

* By mid-March, Towson should have its second Southwestern restaurant, a very different one from the newly opened Saguaro's Tex-Mex grill. The Towson Restaurant Group Inc. has just leased the space on York Road where Mykonos was. The new place, tentatively named Barriga (stomach), will be a restaurant and sports bar with traditional Mexican food. Plans include display cooking -- you'll be able to watch your tortillas and appetizers being made while you wait.

And still more Tex-Mex: El Bronco at 3641 Pulaski Highway is under new ownership. It's now serving Mexican, Southwestern and Spanish food.
