S. Carroll athletes are victims of theft at Westminster High

For the second time this school year, members of a South Carroll team were victims of theft while visiting Westminster High.

State police said the street clothing of the visiting South Carroll Cavaliers boys' varsity basketball team was stored in an unlocked room during Tuesday's game and someone rifled the pockets. The intruder stole $193 and a gold watch, police said.

Tfc. Mark Long said he was told the South Carroll football team also suffered a theft from clothing stored in the same unlocked room last fall.


* Westminster: An official of Modern Foundations, Inc. of Woodbine reported someone stole foundations panels Monday from a construction site at Stone Valley. Police said the theft was estimated at $5,200.

A Bond Street resident told police someone did $148 in damage to plants at her house Monday.


* Westminster: Westminster responded to investigate the report of a fire in the 100 block of Englar Road at 8:58 a.m. Wednesday. Units were out for 30 minutes.
