Pasadena man charged with drug possession

January 17, 1995

Police arrested a Pasadena man on drug charges Saturday afternoon after observing a suspected drug deal, police said.

Detective Rex Snider said he saw two men on the parking lot of the Food Land convenience store about 5:30 p.m. When he approached the store, at Duvall Highway and Fort Smallwood Road, one of the suspects drove off in an unidentified car, police said.

Detective Snider caught the other man and searched his 1984 Dodge Ramcharger, police said. Inside the car, police said, he found a small quantity of marijuana, a digital scale, four vials of the steroid Sustanol and $1,400. Police seized the car.

John Edward Wlasic, 23, of the 200 block of Lake Road was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a steroid, police said.
