2 youths fire guns at group; no one hurt

Two youths leapt from a passing car and fired handguns into a group of youths standing on the sidewalk in the 600 block of Hallmark Drive Friday night, county police said yesterday.

No one was injured, including the 16-year-old Glen Burnie youth who apparently was the target of the attack in front of the Woodside apartments.

The incident occurred about 8:30 p.m. when four to five youths drove up in a white Nissan Sentra and two occupants of the car armed with handguns got out, police said. One of them fired a shot into the air, then pointed the gun at the crowd and fired. The crowd dispersed, and the intended victim ran for cover as the gunman fired a second shot at him and missed, police said.

The victim knows the suspect who fired the shots, police said. The second youth wore a mask over his face, police said.
