Moore's jumper with six seconds remaining lifted the Lakers to a 79-77 win over No. 6 Southern-Balto. on Friday. Next game: Wednesday against Patterson.

2 Dunbar (10-0) -- Last week's ranking: 2. The Poets eclipsed the 100-point barrier in wins over Northwestern (124-84) on Tuesday and Northern (106-68) on Friday. Next game: Wednesday at Douglass.

3 St. Frances (14-1) -- Last week's ranking: 3. Friday at the University of Baltimore, Charles Beaufort and Mark Karcher each scored 18 points in a 62-55 win over No. 18 Loyola. Yesterday, Karcher had 18 in a 78-47 win over Towson Catholic. Next game: Thursday at St. Maria Goretti.
